United States: The local health authorities of the United States are still seeing huge inflow of people suffering from respiratory illnesses to urgent cares, hospitals and clinics. The experts have raised concerns about the increased number of cases of the illness, across the United States.

The concerns regarding the same were shared by IU physician, named Ethan Blocher-Smith, who stated, “While we are finally starting to see a bit of ease as we are getting warmer weather, there is still certainly plenty of it happening. I just looked at the dashboard and we’ve seen unfortunately, six deaths from the flu just this week across the state,” according to the reports published by WRTV ABC.

While commenting on the peak season of respiratory illnesses, such as flu, COVID-19, and RSV, he mentioned that the COVID-19 season touched its peak season during late December.

Dr Blocher-Smith, in this regard was quoted saying, “Whenever we have colder weather, moist conditions and suppressed immune systems are odds for repository viruses of all colors.”

Summers may increase the chances of infection!

He furthermore elaborated that approaching spring can prompt an increase in cases linked to respiratory illness. He also shared some precautionary measures that can assist in decreasing the potential threat of the virus spreading.

Dr Blocher-Smith further asked the general public to follow the precautionary measures such as washing hands with soap on regularly as well as staying at home if they are not feeling okay or seeing any symptoms linked to the infection.

He was quoted saying by WRTV, “As we go out and enjoy time with fun activities and friends, we know that if people are sick and we have that exposure, you are still going to have that increased risk of getting ill yourself.”

He then added, “Along with that, if you need help from us in the medical profession, we are more than happy to see you and take care of you.”
